Yes, you read that right. ISPs like it hot.
So what do they like hot…or more accurately, warm? Your IP! A new IP that hasn’t sent any mail through it yet is considered cold…and unknown to the ISPs. Why? Because mail hasn’t been sent through the IP yet, it has no reputation established with the ISPs. So the best way for the ISPs to get to know you is to warm up your cold IP.
So how do you go about warming up your IP? You’re in luck. On Tuesday, February 11th, two of SendGrid’s Senior Technical Account Managers–Katie Nelson and Aku Desai–will walk you through the ins and outs of IP warm up. They’ll share:
- What does IP warm up mean?
- Why is warm up important for both senders and ISPs?
- Who needs to warm up?
- What happens if you don’t warm up your IP?
- Insider tips from warm ups gone well…and gone awry
- Advice for longterm reputation and sending success
Katie and Aku will also answer any questions you may have about your IP and about email deliverability in general. This will be a great opportunity to get some one-on-one advice from the experts.
